We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a **Purchaser**. This is a full-time permanent opportunity with a fun team and great benefits If you are interested in developing your career alongside an established and growing company, this could be right for you.

**About the Role**:
The **Purchaser **is responsible for the effective procurement of all required materials, including raw materials, project and/or stock inventory within the company, as well as supervising all ingoing and outgoing freight arrangements. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail as well as sound research and networking skills will be key ingredients to your success in this role.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Conduct research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.
- Liaise with production and accounting teams to ensure effective supplier relations.
- Meet with vendors and clients to negotiate the best contracts.
- Consolidate spend across supply base to create leverage, analyze treads, and develop sourcing alternatives.
- Monitor parts and material inventory and writing purchase orders to refill stock.
- Arrange and monitor all incoming/outgoing shipments; liaise with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time.
- Inspect purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues in a timely manner.
- Create, file, and deliver all shipping/receiving paperwork.
- Write reports on purchases made and perform cost analyses.
- Attend and contribute to meetings with internal team and other stakeholders.

**Qualifications, Skills and Attitude**:

- University degree/college diploma in a related field
- Minimum 3 years of related purchasing experience, preferably in the electrical/mechanical industry
- Proficient with purchasing software and Microsoft Excel, generally “tech-savvy”
- Strong analytical skills
- Sound research and networking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Great written, verbal and interpersonal skills
