Merlin Plastic Group is looking for an experienced forklift mechanic/heavy duty mechanic.
Employment type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: 351 Gifford St, new Westminster
**Responsibilities**:
- Diagnose, service, and repair forklifts, loader, shunt trucks
- Keeps tools, equipment, and shop clean and organized
- Perform everything from routine, planned, maintenance to major repairs
- Guarantee high quality in all repairs done
- Complete all work in a timely manner
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance procedures
- Assist with new installations and restorations
- Precise attention to detail
- Ability to service a fleet of 12 forklifts, trailers/ trucks
- Works well under stress
- Adhere to Health and Safety standards and have a safety-first work style
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Able to work fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, courteous manner, personality, and flexibility
- Consistently reliable and dependable.
**Required Skills**:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of propane forklift maintenance/repair experience
- 1+ year of heavy-duty mechanic experience
- Legally Entitled to Work in Canada
