Overview:
Are you looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic business environment? As a Human Resources / Labour Relations Lead, you will be the cornerstone of our district leadership team, providing expert support in talent attraction, nurturing employee relations, managing total rewards and ensuring legal compliance. Collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to support our objectives and project goals.

**Salary range - $110,000 - $135,000**

What you will be doing:

- Provide strategic human capital advice to the Project Director and Supervisors.
- Advise Managers on interpreting and adhering to the collective bargaining agreement.
- Investigate and resolve grievances, ensuring compliance with union contracts. Act as a liaison between Union Reps, Associates, and Management.
- Conduct investigations and ensure disciplinary actions are consistent with the collective bargaining agreement and company policies.
- Manage the recruitment, onboarding and new hire orientation
- Audit craft weekly payroll as needed.
- Spearhead training and conduct training needs analysis to identify skills and competency gaps.
- Assist Managers in preparing individual and departmental training and succession plans.
- Coach, guide and administer the progressive discipline process with the Managers in craft matters
- Manage employee separation and off-boarding activities
- Support employees with their inquiries on a variety of employment-related matters
- Lead the management of Staffing Plans and other HR plans as required
- Other related duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

- A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other relevant discipline is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with the employment-related legislation in the Province of British Columbia is essential
- Minimum of 5 years of labour relations experience with building trade
- Experience working in a unionized environment in the construction industry is required
- Experience with unionized craft hiring and management in the construction environment is required
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office 365. Experience with advanced functions of Excel is required
- Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) at all levels in the organization
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with mínimal supervision
- Willing to work in fast-paced environment and/or with tight deadlines
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
- Passion for excellence with a very high level of attention to detail with a sense of urgency
- Proven problem-solving skills; analytical skills
- Ability to work flexible hours when needed
