**Job Summary**
Hammerhead's Seafood Kitchen and Market is a 100% gluten free restaurant with a focus on traceable and sustainable seafood. We opened in 2018 and we recently expanded from take out to dine in. We are a small group of professionals. Some of our team has been with us from the very beginning which shows our commitment to a positive work environment.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately.
- Must be Smart Served or be willing to obtain immediately upon joining our team.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including setting and clearing tables.
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Operate the POS system for order entry and payment processing.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Assist in cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and needs promptly.
- Help with stocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels in the dining area.
- As we are both a restaurant and market, you will also be trained to assist our customers with their retail seafood needs at our fresh seafood counter.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including cooking, meal preparation, and food handling practices.
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Square, is a plus.
- Familiarity with OpenTable for booking reservations is also desirable
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is advantageous.

Pay: $17.60 per hour
Expected hours: 12 - 20 per week
