North Vancouver, Canada Illuminate Counselling Full time

**Clinical Counsellor contractor role**:

- Ability to provide 5-10 client hours a week with potential for growth.
- Ability to determine & manage your own work schedule.
- Preference for some evening and/or weekend availability.
- Populations served: individuals and couples (many young professionals)

- Annual spending allowance for professional development.
- Monthly peer mentorship meetings with the Illuminate counselling team (via video).
- Professional exposure through Illuminate website, social channels, and online directories.
- Use of Jane Practice Management Software (online booking, online schedule, billing, secure note-keeping, secure video session platform).
- Opportunities to contribute to social media and/or product development.
- Reproductive mental health (decision-making/abortion support, trying to conceive, fertility challenges, pregnancy loss)
- Maternal mental health (perinatal mood & anxiety disorders, adjusting to motherhood).
- Anxiety, depression, grief/loss.
- BONUS - couples work, but not necessary for the role.
- Has a Masters in Counselling (or equivalent) & is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in good standing with the BCACC
- OR is anticipating registration within the next 6 months/ currently awaiting registration.
- Is considered an independent practitioner who will manage their own caseload and client concerns, with opportunity for peer supervision as needed.
- Will provide short and long term counselling for individuals and couples.
- Will provide referrals as appropriate to address client needs.
- Will assess for safety concerns and respond appropriately according to their registering body’s guidelines.
- Will maintain complete clinical documentation for clients based on established standards, completed in a timely manner.
