**Overview**:
Custodial Team Members are responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness of the park’s indoor facilities are maintained to a level that amazes our guest. This includes washrooms, public areas, offices and team member spaces. Our Custodial Team Members are responsible for our garbage and recycling programs as well as sanitation services throughout the park. During the winter season, the Custodial team in conjunction with the rest of the Facilities and Grounds team, is responsible for snow removal and de-icing of the park grounds.

As an active member of this team, this position is responsible for keeping safety as a top priority in all daily tasks.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Perform daily cleaning of all indoor facilities that are part of Capilano Suspension Bridge Park including floors, windows, table tops and walls,
- Maintains a high level of cleanliness of all washrooms and public spaces year round,
- Collect and dispose of all garbage and recyclables,
- Clean light fixtures and change accessible light bulbs/tubes,
- Complete non-routine deep cleaning according to a specified schedule,
- Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up,
- Handle emergency cleaning requests,
- Dusting,
- Transport product and garbage to and from the west side,
- Support with snow removal in the winter months,

**Qualifications**:

- One (1) year of guest service experience, custodial or related experience,
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written,
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of team members,
- Strong guest service orientation,
- First Aid level 1 or higher, a strong asset.

**Considerations**:

- Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business,
- Able to be on walking around and standing for extended periods of time,
- Willing and able to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, rain and winter conditions,
- Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50lbs,
- Occasionally required to lift and climb a ladder.
