*Job Overview*

We are seeking a talented 3D Animator, Houdini Specialist to join our team and work on exciting projects in the School of Animation at VFS. This position offers an opportunity to showcase your creativity and technical skills in a dynamic work environment.

This position is sessional/hourly role at VFS.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- **Course Preparation**:
Review and plan course material before each course begins to ensure accuracy and relevancy, incorporating the latest industry practices in Houdini and Python scripting.
- **Instructional Delivery**:

- **Assessment and Feedback**:
Assess and evaluate student work, record grades, and provide constructive feedback that supports and encourages their creative and technical development.
- **Curriculum Development**:
Collaborate with the Head of Department (HOD) to update and enhance the curriculum, ensuring it meets high industry standards and stays current with industry practices, particularly in the use of Houdini.
- **Professional Engagement**:
Participate in school and department meetings, industry networking activities, and promotional events as required, representing VFS’s commitment to cutting-edge education.
- **Student Support**:
Maintain a professional and nurturing learning environment, being available for student consultation and providing guidance that prepares them for successful careers post-diploma.
- **Industry Alignment**:
Foster students toward employment in the industry by ensuring that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge in Houdini that are most sought after by employers.
