Reporting to the Manager, Donor Relations the Donor Relations Coordinator is an essential member of the Development team, providing key support that will help steward annual giving level gifts, build stronger relationships with donors, and ensure that these important donors are thanked and acknowledged appropriately. The Coordinator will be instrumental in helping to ensure foundational gift programs are delivered efficiently and effectively, thus helping to build UVic's donor retention. This role will be required to work independently and demonstrate a high level of initiative while being in a dynamic team environment where flexibility and multi-tasking is essential. **About Alumni and Development**: Alumni Relations and Development is the division of the university responsible for creating strong relationships and building philanthropic commitment between the University of Victoria and its alumni and friends. The university's Development team has been growing steadily, raising over $25 million annually, and is in the planning stage of a comprehensive campaign. **About the Position** The Donor Relations Coordinator will implement programs for new donors, loyal donors and monthly donors. This position is instrumental in the on-going planning and delivery of donor stewardship programs and services designed to facilitate a lifelong relationship with UVic donors, alumni and students. Alumni & Development is the unit of the university responsible for creating strong relationships and building philanthropic commitment between the University of Victoria and its alumni and friends. It comprises a committed staff team who work both centrally and in faculties and units to identify opportunities where faculty, staff, donors, and alumni can be instrumental to enhancing UVic’s programs, research, and student support. The role of the Donor Relations Coordinator is to provide direct support to the planning and execution of an effective donor relations program. **Objectives**: The Donor Relations Coordinator will be responsible for fulfilling activities and duties that support the university’s donor stewardship efforts. The incumbent will lead and implement foundational stewardship activities for the majority of annual giving and leadership level donors, including new donors, monthly donors, loyal donors, lapsed donors and UVic’s employee donors. They will assist with signature events and key development initiatives on campus. And they will also be responsible for coordinating and training other A&D staff on the use of ThankView. T
