We are currently hiring Banquet Servers to serve functions such as weddings, meetings and galas.

The position is part time/hourly consisting of daytime, evening and weekend shifts.

**The hourly rate of pay will depend on experience.**

Having your own vehicle is preferred as some shifts are outside of bus schedules.

Banquet experience is preferred but restaurant/bar experience will be considered an asset.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

**The duties of Banquet Server include, but are not limited to the following**:

- Serving food and beverages in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner, providing outstanding service and showing courtesy towards all guests, resulting in complete guest satisfaction
- All set-up and closing duties of services assigned must be properly completed and maintained in a professional and quality manner to the best of your ability and in accordance with the Ajax Convention Centre's standards
- Promote cooperation and teamwork between all employees and constantly strive to provide excellent and friendly service, and maintain total department efficiency
- Know, observe, and enforce objectives, policies, standards, and procedures set forth by Banquet Managers
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications and Skills**

**The requirements of Banquet Server include, but are not limited to the following**:

- Smart Serve Certified (May obtain once hired)
- Must be available weekends - day and night
- Monday to Thursday shifts usually fall within 6am-11pm (but vary)
- Friday shifts usually fall within 6am-2am (but vary)
- Saturday shifts usually fall within 9am-2am (but vary)
- Sunday Shifts usually fall within 9am to 11pm (but vary)
- Reliable, punctual & flexible
- Can work in a fast paced environment
- Pay close attention to detail
- Professional attitude and work ethic
- Friendly personality
- Team player
