Air Canada is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and ambitious individual to learn and progress in their career with Air Canada in the position of Project Financial Analyst.
This position reports to the Manager, Financial Services, responsible for Fleet Transactions.
**Functions**
- Provide support for financial matters related to Fleet Transactions, to the team members and the business unit managers in the development of strategies and initiatives to meet or exceed the Unit's financial goals, including cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure project change request process is followed. Track and identify process improvement opportunities
- Review and process branch and project invoices
- Provide monthly financial outlook including monthly cash flow forecasts to project team and the finance capital review committee
- Liaise with Winnipeg Finance to establish the recording of costs against the correct capital expenditure account numbers
- Establish a positive relationship with clients while effectively balancing financial control, advisory and support roles
- Ensure a consistently high level of quality in service provided relative to timeliness, accuracy, and user-friendly output
- Support ad hoc projects with financial analysis and reporting requirements
- Support the dedicated client group (Fleet Transactions) in helping to control costs
- Support Manager and other team members on ad hoc financial queries and tasks
**Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in Finance and/or Accounting
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of financial analysis techniques
- Self starter, energetic with strong sense of initiative and creativity
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
- Good interpersonal skills/team player
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work under pressure and well organized**Conditions of Employment**:
