We pride ourselves on delivering professional mechanical services with a commitment to family values and customer satisfaction. **Summary** We are currently seeking a skilled Plumber/Gasfitter to join our dedicated team in Calgary. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality plumbing services to both residential and commercial clients, ensuring that every job is completed with professionalism and care. **Role Success Scorecard** PURPOSE OF THE ROLE BY FUNCTION A. GET WORK (BRING IN BUSINESS/BD/MKTG/SALES) - 10% of effort - Represent HPG Mechanical with professionalism and pride at every jobsite. - Build positive client relationships through clear communication and reliable workmanship. - Identify opportunities for additional service work or maintenance contracts. - Support the company’s reputation by promoting our commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality. B. DO WORK (DELIVER TO OUR CLIENTS/OPERATIONS) - 80% of effort - Install, repair, & maintain plumbing, gas, & heating systems according to drawings, codes & safety standards. - Perform service and maintenance calls efficiently while meeting quality expectations. - Troubleshoot system faults and implement cost-effective solutions. - Supervise and mentor apprentices, ensuring work is completed safely and correctly. - Maintain accurate job records, time sheets, and material documentation. - Ensure all work meets or exceeds HPG Mechanical’s quality standards and client specifications. C. SUPPORT WORK (SUPPORT GET/DO EFFECTIVENESS) - 10% of effort - Participate in safety meetings and uphold the company’s safety program. - Contribute to process improvements for installations and service workflows. - Maintain company tools and vehicles in top condition. - Provide input to supervisors for estimating, scheduling, and design improvements. - Support training and development of junior team members. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES (KEY DELIVERABLES FOR MY ROLE) - Complete plumbing and gasfitting installations on schedule and within budget. - Adhere to all local building codes and HPG Mechanical safety policies. - Deliver zero-defect installations with mínimal rework or call-backs. - Accurately complete service reports and daily documentation. - Maintain strong communication with dispatch, supervisors, and clients. - Mentor assigned apprentices and ensure proper training and safety compliance.
