Opportunity
- Carpenter Apprentice
**Responsibilities**:
- Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation.
- Assisting with repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures as required.
- Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
- Follow compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Assist with building foundations, installing floor systems, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roofing systems.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other
establishments.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Site Superintendent.
**Requirements**:
- High School Diploma.
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or experience on a construction site.
- Knowledge of Mathematics
- Have a growth ‘mindset’ and have open communication skills.
- Experience installing doors, windows, and siding.
- Good physical fitness, stamina and strength, good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time, including climbing, pulling, and lifting heavy objects.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Salary
- Negotiable based on experience
