**Shop Superintendent**

**In the position of a Shop Superintendent, we would ask you to do the following**:

- Working knowledge of heavy construction equipment/heavy commercial vehicles/light duty vehicles
- Ensures a clear understanding of the financial responsibility for the repair order and what part of the total repair he will be expected to cover.
- Provides a complete understanding of work to be done on equipment and the time needed to perform the work.
- Provide technical support for technicians when necessary
- Supervise workforce to ensure productivity and quality
- Quality-check work performed to insure it is ready to be returned to field
- Assist technicians in developing their skills, including on-the-job training.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and motivating all qualified technicians.
- Understands keeps abreast of and complies with federal, provincial, and local regulations that affect service operations.
- Documents all repairs using the Complaint, Cause, and Correction style of documentation and ensures all other information is included (i.e. pictures, sublet invoices, component serial numbers, etc.).
- Adhere to and promote all existing health and safety policies in the workplace to reinforce the Silverado Site Services culture of a safe work environment
- Receive and dispatch work
- Coordination and supervision of subcontractors and vendors
- Manage and update overall project schedule
- Responsible for quality control and completion of punch lists
- Job cost management
- Review/Approve Accounts Payable related to direct job cost

- CSTS 09 or 2020, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance 201 are required
- A safety conscious attitude
- Must be fluent in English
- Minimum 5 years' experience related to utility construction and excavation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A valid driver's license is required
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
