As a member of the HR team, the Human Resources Generalist - Recruitment and Development provides key support in the various human resources functions which will include recruitment and selection, learning and development and human resources administration.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain a positive and proactive relationship with department management, front-line employees, and contractors.
- Other recruiting assignments/projects such as job fair attendance, company promoting.
- Lead onboarding process for all new hires and support performance management/ evaluation process.
- Administer Apprentice Program with employees and Ministry.
- General HR administration - HRIS maintenance, employee file management, position management, policy management.
- Provide general advice on basic MANA policy and ESA compliance in all HR related topics to managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Prepare counseling and discipline letters.
- Facilitate WSIB Filing and Return to Work program.
- Maintain company website and social media presence.
- Prepare employee events with HR Department.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Certified Human Resources (CHRP) designation preferred.
- 5 years related experience in human resources.
- Experience in Manufacturing industry specific would be an asset.
- Proven ability to complete full cycle recruitment.
- In-depth knowledge of the Employment Standards Act (ESA), WSIB and other HR related legislation.
- Experience using Payworks and/or Navision an asset.
- Ability to prioritize activities and multi-task in a busy work environment.
- High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
