**Manager - Foundation & Excavation**

As a key member of the Kidco leadership team, you will oversee the daily operations of Kidco’s Foundation & Excavation Division. This division provides excavation services to homebuilders in and around the Calgary area and has become the industry leader for both single and multi-family foundation excavation. Your primary objective will be to ensure the division operates efficiently and exceed client expectations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide overall leadership and direction to the Foundation Excavation division, implementing plans to achieve corporate results
- Promote a safe work environment and collaborate with Kidco’s safety department to develop targets and objectives for improving safety performance
- Contribute to setting long-range goals and strategic plans, considering market conditions, trends, the competitive environment, and available resources
- Oversee the execution of business and financial plans
- Consistently review departmental and project performance based on the annual budget
- Manage existing client relationships to ensure service levels are met and build new customer relationships to grow the business
- Manage subcontractor relationships to ensure competitive pricing and on-time delivery
- Allocate labor and equipment resources to meet overall schedule and budget requirements
- Review tenders and prepare pricing estimates
- Troubleshoot and resolve any project issues that arise
- Develop and train staff, ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to

**Required Skills & Training**:

- Proven leadership abilities
- Superior project and contract management expertise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven expertise in project estimating and bidding
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other related estimating and project management software
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction
- Ability to negotiate positive resolutions with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
