Raylec Power Alberta LP is seeking a dedicated Yardperson to join our expanding team In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient organization, maintenance, and movement of materials and equipment within our Calgary yard. This position is based out of Calgary, Alberta, and will report directly to the General Manager.
Who we are:
Raylec Power (Alberta) LP has been a trusted provider of roadway electrical construction, repair, and maintenance services in Central and Southern Alberta since 2013. We specialize in maintaining highway electrical assets for Alberta Transportation, County, and City infrastructure. Our key projects include the Southeast Stoney Trail and Alberta Transportation’s Contract Maintenance Area 516, where we manage thousands of luminaires and numerous signalized intersections. Equipped with a modern fleet of specialized equipment, we ensure efficient and reliable service delivery for all highway electrical asset needs.
- Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement and a clean driver’s abstract is an asset
- Experience with electrical components/materials is an asset
- Occupational First Aid (OFA) levels I, II and/or III is an asset
- Fall protection certification is an asset
- Prior experience operating some of, if not all the following: forklift, telehandler, pickup truck with attached trailer, plate compactor or jumping jack
- Physically fit (ability to lift to 50lbs unassisted)
- Motivated, self-starter who has the ability to work under mínimal supervision
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Prior construction and or warehousing experience
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
Job duties include, but is not limited to:
- Receiving and counting stock items, ensuring items are stored in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Handling of stock items including pick up and delivery, to/from designated sites.
- Cleaning and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas.
- Use of various types of equipment, including but not limited to, forklift, pickup truck and trailers, plate compactor, jumping jack.
