**HOW YOU WILL THRIVE**:
As the Parent Relations celebration maestro and event dynamo, you’ll be at the center of coordinating events that bring our community together. From school-wide celebrations to impactful fundraising initiatives, your creativity will help transform ideas into unforgettable experiences.
**HOW YOU WILL SUCCEED**:
- ** Power the event engine**: Coordinate Advancement-related events from concept to wrap up in partnership with the Manger, Events and the Director, Parents Relations
- ** Lead behind-the-scenes event preparations**:Oversee event logistics by coordinating with internal teams, sourcing vendors, and securing sponsorships, ensuring every event need is met
- ** Ignite the volunteer spirit**:Partner with the ACPA to coordinate volunteers and strengthen community connections
- ** Create the magic**:Assist in developing eye-catching event materials, manage auction items and donations, and ensure precise tracking in Raiser’s Edge
- ** Run the show**:Handle on-site event set-up, execution, and teardown like a pro, ensuring everything runs smoothly, from client fulfillment to vendor management
- ** Wrap up in Style**:Prepare and send thank-you letters and gifts, host post-event debrief meetings, manage tax receipts, and maintain strong donor and parent relations
- ** Ensure compliance & smooth operations**:Manage Parent Criminal Record Checks and coordinate volunteers and assignments for the New Parent Buddy program and other events
**WHAT YOU BRING**:
- A post-secondary degree preferably in Events and/or Business Administration or a related field
- Previous experience in event coordination
- Multitasking enthusiast that thrives with juggling numerous projects and events simultaneously
- Communicator extraordinaire with strong written and verbal communication abilities to engage and collaborate with ease
- Team player extraordinaire**working seamlessly with others to make events a success
- Relationship builder to foster positive connections with stakeholders and others within the Appleby Community
- Tech-savvy pro in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) and bonus points for experience using Raiser’s Edge or other CRM
- Detail dynamo with a sharp eye for details and accuracy
- Discretion specialist who understands the importance of handling sensitive information
