Reporting to the Production Manager, the incumbent will manage plant operations on a shift basis. He/she will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees.

The Production Supervisor takes the necessary measures to ensure the efficient use of manpower and equipment. He/she acts to achieve objectives related to operational efficiency, product quality, occupational health and safety, and the management of our human resources.

**Responsabilities**:

- Ensure compliance with health and safety rules and safe working practices at all times;
- Ensure constant compliance of workplaces and safety of tools;
- Develop and maintain a preventive attitude among team members;
- Ensure that his team performs quality work in line with company standards;
- Ensure proper material and human resources planning to achieve production objectives;
- Mobilize team members to achieve productivity targets;
- Distribute tasks equitably among team members, taking into account individual capabilities and equipment capacities;
- Manage the performance of work teams using key performance indicators and implement actions to achieve production targets;
- Adhere to the production plan, communicate standard times and analyze deviations;
- Ensure compliance with work procedures and quality of work of team members;
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement improved processes;
- Participate in the implementation of the continuous improvement program and the identification of improvement opportunities;
- Participate in various HR processes (staffing, performance appraisals, disciplinary processes, labour relations, training, etc.);
- Manage team members' work attendance;
- Contribute to the development of team members;

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in management, Diploma of Collegial Studies or equivalent;
Training in quality or continuous improvement (an asset);
5 years' experience as a supervisor in a unionized manufacturing environment;
Ability to use Office Suite software.
Fluency in French (oral and written).
Team player, team player, capable of good interpersonal relations to create a climate of trust;
