Assistant Manager

This role is primarily focused on facilitating a positive recreational experience for our customers and contributing to the growth and sustainability of PoCo Bowl. Success in this role is defined by creating relationships with our regular customers, finding solutions to everyday issues, guiding and developing staff, as well as providing insight into potential areas of opportunity to improve the business. This role is primarily staff management and customer service and reports directly to ownership.
To be successful as the Assistant Manager, you should have a passionate, energetic and out-going personality, as this is a customer service role. This role is a full-time 40-hours per week position working closely with the co-Assistant Manager on the day-to-day business operations. Flexibility to work different shifts throughout the 7-day work week would be considered an asset.

**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work with clientele from a wide variety of demographics
- Developing and coaching staff
- Staff coordination and scheduling
- Working closely with co-Assistant Manager
- Coordinating leagues, tournaments and parties
- Assisting with coordination of all programs
- Overseeing reservation books to maximize revenue
- Assisting in general maintenance of equipment
- Liaising with service providers
- Performing daily cleaning and maintenance
- Inventory management
- Assisting with marketing and advertising efforts including social media
- Communicating with our community through methods such as monthly newsletters
**REQUIREMENTS**
- 3+ years of management experience in operations overseeing team members
- 3+ years of high paced customer service
- Flexibility to work different night shifts throughout the 7-day work week would be considered an asset
- Must be able to work alone at times
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Must be able to be standing for long periods of time
- Proficiency in English
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload and projects assigned
- Working knowledge of social media would be considered an asset
- Working knowledge of financial controls would be considered an asset
- Work experience with light machinery, maintenance or repair would be considered an asset
- Food safe certified would be considered an asset
