**Description**:
This position is a full-time (1.0 FTE) tenure track (contingent) position, comprising approximately 50% time for clinical service and 50% time for academic pursuits divided between 40% research and 10% teaching (negotiable).
The successful applicant will join the IHOPE (Immunology, Hematology, Oncology and Palliative care) division which includes eight pediatric oncologists as well as multiple others including pediatric hematology, immunology and palliative care subspecialists, basic scientists, and The Northern Alberta Children’s Cancer Program. We have an active basic and clinical science program, with collaborations locally, nationally and internationally. The Northern Alberta Children's Cancer Program sees patients from across Northern Alberta, Northern British Columbia and the Northwest Territories. Our program is an active contributor to the Children's Oncology Group and other cooperative clinical group trials, we have a Royal College accredited subspecialty training program in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and our program is well supported by all pediatric subspecialties within the Stollery including experienced pediatric surgeons, pediatric radiologists, pediatric radiation oncologists and pediatric pathologists. Contributions to education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels are expected from all faculty.

**Qualifications**:
Interested applicants must have:
- MD degree (or equivalent)
- PhD, ideally in translational research
- Completed subspecialty training in Pediatrics and subspecialty training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
- Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
Considered an asset:
- Special interest or advanced training in neuro-oncology
- Experience and training in translational research with a focus on delineating targetable pathways in pediatric tumors.
Remuneration for this position will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and will be based on the income scale of a competitive and highly successful academic alternate funding plan.
