Kitchen Helper

**Location**: Noble Chef Kitchen at Abegweit Connects, 24 Kitpu St., Scotchfort, PE (approx. 25-30 minutes from Charlottetown)
**Hourly Rate**: $16-$18 per hour (based on experience)
**Training Rate**: Minimum wage during training (with wage increase after completion based on skills and knowledge)

Noble Chef is a small, family-run business co-owned by Richard and Rachel. Both Richard and Rachel bring over 15 years of experience in the culinary and hospitality industry. Richard has honed his culinary skills over the years, with significant experience in Vancouver, while Rachel has worked for high-end luxury establishments, such as the Rocky Mountaineer Train and Rosewood Hotels. Together, we combine over 30 years of experience and are dedicated to creating a supportive work culture based on high standards, attention to detail, and continuous improvement. **Position Overview**:
We’re seeking a reliable, hard-working individual to join our kitchen team as a **Part-Time Kitchen Helper**. The primary focus of this role is food preparation and cleaning. The tasks will involve chopping produce and assisting with basic kitchen duties. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong attention to detail, but it is not a thinking-heavy job.

**Responsibilities**:

- Food preparation: chopping produce, prepping ingredients
- Cleaning the kitchen and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift
- Maintaining a high standard of food safety and cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions

**Personal Suitability**:

- Dependable and reliable, with a strong sense of responsibility
- Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities
- Quick learner with a desire to continuously improve
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a small, family-oriented team

**Requirements**:

- Must have your own vehicle to travel to the kitchen (public transportation is available to a nearby gas station, 5-minute walk to the kitchen)
- Knife skills and experience in food prep
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently
- Eagerness to improve and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods (6-8 hours) and lift up to 50 lbs
- Attention to detail and reliability are a must; we do not cut corners
- Must be willing to continuously improve and grow in your role
- **Safe Food Handling certificate** is required (or willing to obtain)

**Schedule**:

- Part-time, 2-3 shifts per week

**Potential for Growth**:

- There is opportunity for the right person to work alongside Chef Richard Charron at catering events.
- There may also be opportunities at **Pretzel, Pint & Pickle** on event nights if interested.
