Our strong growth has provided the opportunity to hire new employees for positions within the general labour group, lumber cutting and preparation team. The organization also has opportunities such as assemblers that build pallets, reels and crates for our team.

Shur-way has 2 machine operator positions available. There will be one dayshift position Monday to Friday 7am - 3:30pm, and there will be one afternoon shift position that will be running Mon-Thursday (4 - 10hr shifts) and has a $1.00 per hour shift premium.
- Scheduled 10 hours per day for Monday to Thursday afternoon shift. There will be a 30 minute unpaid lunch, 2 paid 15 minute breaks, and 15 minutes paid clean-up and stocking period at the end of the shift.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Comply with safe work practices while using the provided personal protection equipment (PPE) at all times while performing job duties
- Ensure that daily inspection of tools, work station and check lists are completed
- Banding and Stamping of pallets
- Prepare machine for start-up.
- Maintaining quality by continuous monitoring
- Inform management of potential problems
- At end of run, identify and record any unused portions of lumber.
- Maintain equipment and surrounding area in a safe, clean and tidy state
- Record production figures accurately, consistently
- Report all incidents and/or accidents to the Supervisor or Health and Safety Specialist
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and with little direction
- Detail Oriented
- Exhibit a sense of urgency and be able to demonstrate the ability to solve problems in a fast paced environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $17.82 per hour
