**Job Title: Fishing Guide (Full-Time, Seasonal - 6-Month Commitment Required)**
**Location**: Marten River, Ontario
**Accommodation available for non-local applicants**

Marten River Lodge is one of Northern Ontario’s premier fishing destinations—and we’re looking for an experienced, personable, and hardworking **Fishing Guide** to join our seasonal team from **May through October**.

You must live and breathe the outdoors. You have strong fishing knowledge, practical experience, and a passion for putting guests on fish under a variety of conditions. Whether it’s Walleye, Pike, or Smallmouth Bass, you know where to find them and how to help guests have a great day on the water. Hunting experience is a strong asset, particularly in upland bird and waterfowl, as there are opportunities to guide for grouse and duck in the fall.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Exceptional fishing skills and knowledge of local species and techniques
- A strong focus on guest experience—you’re a storyteller, a teacher, and a host
- Comfortable guiding all skill levels and adapting to different personalities
- Competent with small engine repair, basic camp maintenance, and troubleshooting boats, motors, trailers, UTVs, etc.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude—no task is “beneath you”
- Safe, professional, and organized in all aspects of guiding
- Familiarity with technology such as GPS, Navionics, and fish finders
- Physically fit, hands-on, and proactive with a “can-do” work ethic

**Requirements**:

- Minimum age: 25
- Valid Ontario Boating License
- Ontario Fishing License
- First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain)
- Clean driving abstract and reliable vehicle
- Willingness to commit to **May through October** season
- Ability to supply personal fishing gear (rods, tackle, rain gear, etc.)

**Nice to Have**:

- Hunting experience (grouse, duck)
- Chainsaw, Safe Food Handling, WHMIS, or Worker Health & Safety certifications
