The Role
Dodds Garage Doors is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Commercial Estimator to join our commercial sales team. This role focuses on providing high-quality, detailed estimates and quotes for overhead doors and related projects. You will work closely with property managers, warehouse managers, general contractors, builders, and other customers to ensure accurate and timely quotes while supporting our salespeople. The position is based in Cambridge, ON, and requires in-office work 5 days a week.
What You Will Do
- Estimate Preparation: Analyze service reports and assemble detailed quotes, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Vendor Coordination: Record and compare bids from multiple vendors and subcontractors while maintaining a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Contract Management: Communicate contractual terms and conditions with customers and partners.
- Team Support: Assist salespeople by providing customer service and support as needed.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of all estimates and project details.

What You Bring to the Table
- Experience in the construction industry or a related field (preferred).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Word; experience with Service Titan is an asset.
- Strong mathematical skills and a methodical approach to work.
- Work Environment: Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Additional role details

**Job Type**: Full-time, in-office (Cambridge, ON) 5x a week.
**Salary**: $55,000 - $70,000 per year.

**Benefits**: Extended health care.
**Experience**: Minimum 2 years preferred.
