**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Plant Supervisor at Plant 3 in Stratford (Oxford Carriage Door), the Miller willwork side-by-side with our dedicated staff, learning the processes and standards for building custom wood overlay garage doors. You will be ‘hands-on’ with the different materials, machines, and tools used while you take part in creating a beautiful, finished product. We are searching for a team member who may be focused on the milling & machining of materials.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Work well as a member of our team.
- Be effective when working independently or with mínimal supervision.
- Operate typical woodworking equipment safely & efficiently.
- Be willing to share and expand upon your current knowledge of woodworking practices.
- Accurately understand detailed shop drawings.
- Have a keen attention to detail and an eye for quality.
- Lift door panels, sheet goods and materials which may be heavy.
- Maintain quality control and production expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Basic machine set-up & maintenance (ie. Change knives, cutters, moulder heads, fence adjustments)
- Lumber break-out based drawings and worksheets
- Glue-ups as needed for panels and wider board widths
- Understanding of wood species and their characteristics
- Prepare materials for door builders in assembly department
- Seal back of boards prior to Door Builder installing them

**Professional Qualifications & Skills**:
- Experience with woodworking & woodworking equipment is preferred
- Machine & tooling setup along with general factory maintenance skills would be an asset.

**Job Type**: Full-time
**Typical Working Hours**: Monday - Thursday 7 am to 4 pm & Friday 7am to 1pm
**Starting Wage**: $20.80/ hour
Pay: From $20.80 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
