**Reports to**: Department Leadhand

**Job Purpose**: Learn all aspects and training on a variety of machines.

**Duties / Responsibilities**
- Learn all aspects and training of assembly techniques, processes and machining
- Set up and operate (learn) a variety of machines, speeds, feeds.
- Learn to read and interpret gear cut data and drawings and qualify own work to ensure parts are to information provided by engineering and qualify control
- Attend all workshops, trainings, conferences and staff meetings as required
- Participates in health and safety initiatives
- Keep work area clean and clear of hazards & contributes to a safe working environment
- Other duties as required

**Skills / Qualifications**
- Hand/eye co-ordination
- Ability to indicate
- Good listening skills and follows direction
- Strong math skills
- Proficient in blue print reading and measuring
- Able to work as a team member as well as independently

**Experience / Education**
- Machine programming courses
- Mechanically inclined
- Experience in dismantling and determining requirements to re-assemble gearboxes (learn)Set-Up and operate (learn) variety of machines, speeds, feeds

**Salary**: $18.03-$29.54 per hour
