What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinating the receiving, handling, labeling, storage, and organization of inventory.- Assist with training and development of Warehouse personnel.- Ensure warehouse areas are kept organized.- Ensure warehouse checklists are done and issues are communicated.- Monitor and maintain employee performance and attendance to ensure maximum- proficiency and productivity.- Maintain the work area, equipment, and forklifts in a clean and orderly condition, following prescribed safety regulations.- Facilitate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end inventory counts.- Overseeing the unloading, inspection and signing off on deliveries to ensure they comply with Fresh Prep’s quality standards in terms of quantity, quality, packaging, storage, temperature, etc.- Reconcile packaging lists against Purchase Orders provided by Purchasing Team and complete Receiving Log to inform of discrepancies for further follow up.- Correctly label, organize, and store products in accordance with Fresh Prep allergen and storage guidelines.- Complete hold tags and consult with the Quality Assurance team where necessary.- Handle onsite driving deliveries and pickups where necessary.- Optimize product utilization through inventory organization and FIFO practices.- Maintain inventory lists and complete on-site inventory checks as needed and requested by Production and Purchasing.
- Other tasks assigned to support Purchasing, Quality Assurance and Production departments.
What We Are Looking For
This Lead is ready and excited to work in a fast-paced environment with constant changing parts.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.- Good communication and organizational skills.- Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations.- Basic math skills.- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lb boxes.- Sit down counterbalance forklift license.- Experience in using a pallet jack.- Receiving and Warehouse experience is required.- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work well independently or within a team.
