Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Preparing contracts for internal and external employees. - Work closely with the HR Manager to provide support as needed on highly confidential human resource matters and special projects. - Filing of WSIB and Worker Compensation claims. - Accident and Incident Investigation. - Conduct Health and Safety audit programs. - Carry out workplaces/jobsite inspections to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and safety programs. - Coordinator internal and external training sessions for employees. - Assist with H&S accreditation programs and ISO audits. - Assist with Return-To-Work programs. - Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs as required. - Assists with management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures. - Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records. - Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. - Respond to employee policy inquiries. - Adhere to the company’s Quality Assurance System and Health and Safety policies - Other duties as assigned by management. **Requirements include**: - Minimum 3-5 years Human Resources experience, plus a degree or diploma in Human Resources or related discipline. - Fluent in English (reading, writing, spoken). Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the phone and use language appropriately in variable situations. - Ability to see and make decisions based on the big picture. Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables. Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks on daily bases. - Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite of products. - Understanding of documentation control principles, adhere to strict confidentiality of employee and company documents, electronic files and other information.
