Database Administrator

**Position Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-availability database solutions using Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server. You will play a critical role in ensuring database security, optimizing performance, and managing data consistency across mission-critical systems.

Your primary focus will be on database administration, performance tuning, disaster recovery planning, and security enhancements while working closely with cross-functional teams. You will also be responsible for managing cloud-based SQL services (Azure), monitoring database operations, and implementing backup and recovery strategies that align with business objectives.

As a Database Administrator, you will collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and security professionals to ensure seamless database operations, data integrity, and compliance with industry standards.
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database (19c) and Microsoft SQL Server (2019 or higher) in high-availability environments.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Datapump to ensure business continuity.
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization, including index strategies, query optimization, and resource management.
- Ensure database security by implementing role-based access control, Oracle Advanced Security Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), and compliance measures.
- Monitor database health and operations using Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control (EMCC) and SCOM (Microsoft).
- Support database migrations and upgrades, including cloud SQL PaaS services in Microsoft Azure.
- Implement disaster recovery (DR) solutions, including Oracle Data Guard, RAC, and Exadata to enhance fault tolerance and failover capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, collaborating with developers and infrastructure teams.
- Ensure data consistency and integrity, following best practices for data modeling and schema design.
- Provide operational support to database administrators and development teams.
- Maintain technical documentation and adhere to industry compliance and regulatory requirements.

**Required Experience**

**Do you have**:

- At least five (5) years of experience as a Database Administrator in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database (19c) and SQL Server (2019 or higher).
- Hands-on experience with Cloud SQL PaaS Services, specifically Azure.
- Proficiency in Oracle Exadata, Data Guard, and Real Application Clusters (RAC).
- Experience using RMAN for backup/restore and point-in-time recovery.
- Familiarity with Datapump for database and data migrations.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Advanced Security Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
- Experience with monitoring tools such as EMCC (Oracle) and SCOM (Microsoft).
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and database replication.

- Experience with MySQL, Azure Cosmos DB, or Commvault.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage large-scale database projects.
- Industry certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Azure Database certifications.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
