Human Resources Generalist

**About the Role**:
With strategic, system, and programming support from our associated companies, the HR Generalist is responsible for all HR Operations in the company, including all activities related to recruitment, workforce (payroll/HR) administration, HR data and analytics, orientation & onboarding, training & development, employee engagement & retention, policies, occupational health & safety, and employee relations. The HR Generalist supports management and employees by delivering professional advice and services to both management and employees.
**Required Education**
- Bachelor’s degree with HR focus or equivalent
**Education considered an asset**
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation considered an asset
**Required Experience**
- Minimum of five (5) years experience dealing with diversified and complex issues across the HR field.
- Competency in multiple human resource functional areas including: employee relations, HR administration, diversity & inclusion, performance management, training & development, change management, respective employment legislation, recruitment & retention.
**Experience considered an asset**
- Previous experience in working in food production, manufacturing, or hospitality
- Experience in a fast paced, start-up, entrepreneurial environment
**Interpersonal (Communication) Skills**
Communication requires motivating, persuading and negotiating, involves sensitive, complex or controversial issues using considerable probing, investigation and explanation to gain acceptance of ideas. Contact is very broad and crosses the entire scope of the organization
**Problem Solving and Independent Judgement**
Majority of tasks involve problem-solving, communication and troubleshooting complex issues. Problems are diverse and highly complex, often lacking prior definition. Solutions and decisions require considerable independent judgment, creativity and integration of unrelated or variable information, strategic thinking, abstract reasoning, comprehensive inquiry or research.
**Responsibilities**
- Manage the full cycle of talent acquisition, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Foster positive employee relations by addressing concerns and facilitating conflict resolution.
- Maintain and ensure accurate data entry for employee records and payroll processing.
- Collaborate with management to implement training and development programs.
- Support change management initiatives and assist in project management tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to promote a cohesive work environment.
