**Job Title**: Heavy Equipment / Truck and Coach Technician
**Type of Employment**: Full Time

**Position Summary**:
Ottawa Crane Rental Shop is a leading full service crane rental company servicing Ottawa and Eastern Ontario for over 50 years. Our expertise starts with a well maintained fleet of mobile cranes, experienced operators and a focus on worksite safety. Our goal is to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
We’re growing and currently have an opening for a full time, permanent Heavy Equipment / Truck and Coach Technician.
**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities**:
- Able to analyze equipment malfunctions, repair and maintain equipment.
- Inspect and perform diagnostics on equipment.
- Able to use electronic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot repairs.
- Able to perform repairs in different environmental settings such as in repair shop or on a job site.
- Test repaired equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools.
- Perform maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating.
- Supply and obtain all necessary information to adequately answer team and customers’ requests.
- Estimate hours and materials required to achieve work.
- Strong diagnostic skills in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Determine best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.
- Before leaving for field services, determine all safety equipment, field equipment & materials necessary for a field job and assure all necessary equipment is packed and in good operating.
- Make sure to offer professional service at all times (respecting the rules of conducts, the health & safety, work environment, equipment cleanliness, etc.).
- Manage priorities, control and approve each current step making sure that all inspection reports are well completed.
- Make sure that root causes of failure are well identified, and solutions are adequate.
- Supply technical support to team and to customers.
**Key Competencies/Knowledge**
- Completion of 310T Truck and Coach Technician licence.
- Must have knowledge on arial equipment.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in dismantling and assembling big mechanical parts.
- Great experience and interest regarding external field services.
- Experience in maintenance planning.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s licence.
- Possession of own tools.
- Detailed organized and safety conscious.
- Dependable and punctual
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft office.
**Required Aptitude**
**Work Conditions**
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. standing, bending, full body motion in the execution of the role.
Travel to off-site locations.
Overtime as required, field site work when needed.
**Salary to commensurate with experience; Safety Boot and Insulated Coverall Allowance, Group Benefits Plan which covers life insurance, LTD, Health (which includes prescription medication) and Dental; Pension Plan.**
