Mel Lingerie is a lingerie boutique in downtown Victoria, BC. The boutique is a fine balance between functionality, aesthetic, and luxury that is unique to us and the city’s lingerie and loungewear market.

As a team, we want to sell the store as an experience. We create a high-end atmosphere while educating clientele about the product and how to wear it. Our goal is to teach people about being body positive and have respect for themselves. We are here to teach them how to wear lingerie as an everyday item, how to bring style to their outfits, and how to find the right fit. We are always looking for ways to make things easier for our clients - this is why they choose to shop with us.

By joining the Mel Lingerie team as a Team Member and Social Media Associate, you can begin your career in the luxury goods sector, develop connections with an experienced team, and have the possibility to grow as a specialist fitter.

**Team Member Responsibilities**:

- Provides a positive client experience with friendly and courteous service in an intimate environment to build rapport with regular/repeat clientele.
- Build sales by guiding clients to relevant products through appropriate product knowledge.
- Fit product to clients properly, and trouble-shoot issues perceived by clients [training to be provided].
- Process sales transactions on a digital POS and receive payment.
- Wrap, bag, or box purchases as needed.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with boutique procedures.
- Work with other staff member to generate a consistent and genuine social media presence with stories, video, and posts.
- Create awareness and promote special offers and loyalty programs.

**Work Hours & Benefits**:

- Starts at $17/hour for the 3 month trial period. After 3 months, raise to $19/hour.
- Scheduled days are **Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday**, with possibility to increase when summer days pick up, or cover other team members on holidays.
- Shifts are approximately 6-7 hours a day, with late morning starts and early evening ends.
- Employees are offered variable discounts on products.
- Training will be provided for onboarding to our team - including product knowledge, fitting process, safety procedures, and orientation to the digital POS.

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent desired
- Minimum 1 year of retail experience desired
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility in schedule, tasks, and priorities when necessary to meet business needs
- Social media management or graphic design experience preferred.
