**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Always ensure a safe working environment.

- Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions in accordance with our Quality System.
- Management and 6S of maintenance area/cage.
- Preventative Maintenance_
- Conduct regular inspections, and maintenance on all machinery to ensure they are operating efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to maintain optimal performance
- Troubleshooting Repairs _
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues within the machines and equipment.
- Execute timely repairs and replacements of faulty components to minimize production disruptions.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations and other team members to address urgent maintenance needs and restore equipment functionality.
- Equipment Upgrades and Modifications_
- Participate in equipment upgrades and modifications to enhance performance, safety, and efficiency.
- Install new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and functionality.
- Documentation and Reporting _
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Provide detailed reports on maintenance tasks, issues encountered, and solutions implemented.
- Input information into our Maintenance ERP system.
- Safety and Compliance_
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies related to equipment maintenance and operation.
- Continuous Improvement _
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and suggest improvements to enhance machinery efficiency and product quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement innovative solutions and best practices.
- Training and Support _
- Help train operators on basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting techniques to prevent minor issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Work alongside the Director of Operations to develop Maintenance Plan and intervals for equipment.
- Source equipment replacement parts.
**Education and Experience**:
- Experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with cold heading machinery and equipment is a plus.
- Headers, Trimmers, Thread Rollers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge / prior experience with machine maintenance.
**Skills and Abilities**:
- Detail oriented
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude / knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills are an asset.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, to address maintenance emergencies.
- High sense of urgency and proven time management skills

**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)

- Maintenance: 5 years (preferred)
