Manufacturing Logistic Supervisor

We are looking for a Logistic Supervisor to join our team to ensure an efficient logistics operation system in the company with continuous improvement.

**Job Location**:Gorham St & Leslie St, Newmarket ON

**Pay rate**: 27/h

**Shift time**:8 am - 4:30 pm

**Start date**: Immediate hiring

**Job duties**:

- Manage and oversee all domestic and international import/export shipments and transportation
- Keep track of customs and logistics-related regulations. Report relevant changes to the management.
- Ensure all import/export shipments into/out of the US/Canada are compliant with customs regulations
- Understand the structure of US/Canada customs duties taxes and support the sales team on material cost calculations
- Contact HQ to coordinate on Logistics issues -keep track of shipment status and provide shipment ETAs
- Prepare shipping documents, including BOL, commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin (USMCA)
- Analyze the feasibility of transportation methods and optimize shipping routes
- Manage and keep filing all Transportation and Customs documents

**Other job duties**:

- Procurement work related to logistics: select and coordinate with the external services provider based on the company benefits and policy
- Material purchasing/importing planning, ensures a proper material flow and stock level
- Responsible for understanding scopes related to logistics suppliers and third-party sourcing requirements
- Coordinate with logistics suppliers to ensure adherence to contract terms and contractual deliverables
- Review and validate all vendor invoices and import commercial documentation
- Maintain reports and metrics: Responsible for examining the correctness of the declarations and preparing the US Customs monthly reports and duty payables to company's accounting team for review.
- Check the Canada Customs report and coordinate with the Finance team to manage the status.
- Liaison between customers and the company on logistics issues
- Provide full customer service and support to external and internal customers on logistics issues
- Lead the quarterly internal and annual external audit for logistics and Customs and operations

**Job requirement**
- +3years of professional experience in international logistics with a focus on North America
- Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including an ability to maintain calm and effective exchanges by all parties during stressful situations
- Excellent organizational skills demonstrated by clear and effective project plans and executive-level reporting that ensure timely action and decision-making in time-pressured scenarios
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suites and ERP system
- Familiar with the production and co-production of import and export documents under various trade types
- Must be very familiar with Customs regulations. Passing the Customs Brokers License Examination or CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) certificate will be a plus.
- Must speak Chinese as you will be the medium of communication between HQ in china and CPI. Spanish will be nice to have.
- Must be able to commute to work every day
- Must be able to work the day shift
