**Full Job Description**

Do you possess a high level of reliability, precision, and attention to detail? Are you looking to start your career in Finance? We are looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team at Canadian Flatbeds. The person in this role will be responsible for performing accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. The role also involves providing some financial, administrative, and clerical support to the internal business partners when required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Verify invoices, obtains approvals, set invoices up for payments and review cheque requests. Identifies and investigates errors and exceptions in invoices.
- Records and actions incoming cheques, rebates, and other transactions
- Track expenses and process expense reports
- Updating payment requests and processing EFT payments
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions
- Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc
- Acting as point of contact with internal and external business parties for all accounts payable related inquiries
- Issues stop-payments or purchase order amendments
- Protects organization’s value be keeping information confidential
- Other accounting duties as assigned

**Requirements and Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus
- Previous accounts payable experience preferred
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
- Data entry skills along with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with Quickbooks (preferred)
- Takes a logical approach to analyzing problems and strong analytical abilities

**Hours of Wor**k

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Occasional weekend availability
