**Job Title: QA - POS Testing**
**Job Location: Toronto, ON**
**Responsibilities**:

Who You Are:

- You are a self-starter, able to cope in a shifting environment
MANDATES:
- You must be residing in Toronto - Canada and have a valid permit to work under any employer
- You must be able to accommodate two (2) POS machines at home. (Each POS machine is around 25 kgs in weight)
- You must be able to pick up and drop off POS machines/Test Cards/ Supplies to & from the HBC office/Another QA contact's home at your own conveyance (can take support from your close one as needed; The POS machines are very heavy to carry). Please be mindful of the heaviness.
- You must be able to work at HBC Downtown Office for UAT Testing/Regular QA Testing when we are back in the office or as needed and requested.
You Also Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any related field of study
- Ability to identify and track defects
- Ability to monitor/measure testing progress
- Proficient in software testing methodologies and software development life cycle process
- Good understanding of the various testing techniques
- Good documentation skills
- Hands-on experience in POS Implementation and testing skills
- E2E Testing experience of POS with upstream and downstream systems.
- Working knowledge of one or more programming or scripting languages
- At least 3 years of cumulative manual and/or automation testing experience
- Minimum 3-year experience in analyzing business requirements and use cases
- Proficient in system testing techniques and testing tools
As the Quality Assurance Analyst, You Will:
- Perform functional testing at various levels (component, system, system integration, E2E, user acceptance) utilizing techniques such as exploratory, black box, white box, browser compatibility, parallel testing
- Perform regression testing
- Develop and document test cases based on business requirements, functional and technical requirements, user stories, and business use cases
- Identify test approach for business, functional and technical requirements
- Participate in developing test strategy with the QA Lead
- Troubleshoot and triage issues, make judgment calls in solving problems
- Identify, prioritize, document, and track defects
- Provide defects reports, test status updates, and QA signoffs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Provide QA support for scheduled deployments/releases
- Analyze Business Requirements, create and execute test cases and test scripts
- Analyze and communicate effectively issues to proper team members and track to resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to process improvement Retail Domain experience is Preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Point of Sales systems, understanding of different variations of Debit/Credit/Third Party cards used - preferred
- Strong experience in the QA processes and Methodologies
- JIRA and Confluence are a MUST
