**Position**:Transportation Coordinator
**Reports to**: Act. Dir. Transportation & Food Bank
**Status**: Full-Time, Contract 1 year (with possibility of renewal)
**Department**: Transportation & Food Bank
**Working Hours**:Monday to Fri (8:30 am to 4:30 pm)

**Position Summary**:
Coordinates Transportation program requests and enquiries. Receives and schedules Transportation client requests and assists with food related delivery schedules. Communicates with supervisors/colleagues and partner agencies regarding transportation requests and food bank operations. Supports a culture of client safety as part of ESS key strategic goal and priority. Identifies client safety risk; supports a non-punitive reporting environment for reporting unsafe practices and/or errors; supports staff safety surveys and acts on the safety recommendations.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Receives client calls for ride requests, completes client transportation registration, booking, scheduling and confirms requests.
- Schedules and communicates daily with ESS Paid Drivers.
- Oversees, schedules, and communicates with agency transportation volunteers.
- Receives internal and external referrals for program ride requests, completes registration, booking, scheduling and confirms with staff.
- Reviews and reconciles monthly billing and statistics in relation to Transportation services.
- Provides referrals and resources to clients for other transportation and food security resources in the Toronto area.
- Collects, enters and update client data for Transportation and Food programs and statistics; provides program data reports as required.
- Serves as an alternate to the Transportation & Food Bank Coordinator for the ESS Food / Meal Delivery programs as required.
- Serves as an alternate to the Manager, Transportation as required.
- Attends internal and external meetings relevant to the agency and/or the department.
- Completes all necessary documentation as required by operational policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have working knowledge of Trapeze/Novus transportation scheduling software
- Woking knowledge in AlayaCare software is an asset
- Ability to work remotely and onsite
- Concern for and experience with seniors and issues of poverty and food insecurity
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to exercise good judgement, problem solving, and flexibility in response to changing situations and needs
- Ability to work effectively independently and as a team
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
