**Responsibilities**:
**Division Description**

The RISQ Division's mission is to contribute to the sustainable and predictable growth of the SG Group by overseeing and independently challenging the objectives and strategies of the Business Lines. RISQ’s mission is to independently analyze, challenge, opine and monitor on the risk-taking activities, including those associated with new products, of the Business Lines to achieve the best possible outcome for the Bank. The RISQ division in the US supports all the activities in the Americas Region (US, Canada and Latin America), which is almost exclusively SGCIB-oriented.

**_ Responsabilities_**
- Within the RISQ Division, the Enterprise Risk Management department has the following remit, across all risk types to which SG’s Americas operations (SG AMER) are exposed:

- Coordinate the RISQ departments detailed and documented assessment of New and Living Products which SG AMER is exposed to, and oversee ongoing development of the New Product Policy;
- Coordinate risk analysis reporting to risk committees, including SG’s Enterprise Risk Committee, Executive Committee’s Risk Committee, and SG’s Board of Directors U.S. Risk Committee;
- Establish, and monitor adherence to, Risk Appetite Statements for SG AMER and its business lines;
- Coordinate and enhance SG AMER’s risk identification and assessment framework, and conduct periodic risk identification and assessment campaigns;
- Coordinate and enhance SG AMER’s stress testing framework, and conduct periodic stress testing exercises;
- Oversee SG AMER’s Strategic Risk management and Environmental & Social Risk management, in a second line of defense role;
- Coordinate the Permanent Control framework in SG AMER;
- Organize and monitor SG AMER’s risk management framework, risk committees, and roles and responsibilities for all lines of defense;
- Oversee SG AMER’s policies and procedures and Issue Management framework; and
- Contribute to the development and usage of a “Governance, Risk and Compliance” (GRC) information system architecture across SG AMER.
- Coordinate the RISQ departments / second line of defense (“2LOD”) detailed and documented assessment of New and Living Products which SG AMER is exposed to, and oversee the ongoing development of the New Product Policy;
- Present documented opinions to RISQ executive management and to the New Product Committee (“NPC”); where each new or living product review requires formal approval by the Chief Risk Officer and the Chief Operating Officer.
- Support the ongoing evolution, development, and maintenance of the NPC Framework in collaboration with the NPC Secretary and wider NPC Community, both regional and global.
- Maintain the NPC pipeline for RISQ, ensure RISQ SMEs maintain a robust understanding of the NPC process and pipeline, including their respect roles and responsibilities.
- Remain up to date on NPC related developments in the region and globally, proactively organize and prepare RISQ stakeholders accordingly.
- Partner with the Global NPC Community incl. stakeholders and SMEs based in Europe and Asia.
- Extensive collaboration with NPC Coordinators from other departments e.g., Tax, Operations, Finance.
- Extensive engagement with NPC sponsors to ensure all the required information has been documented up-front and any open questions from the RISQ SMEs answered in a timely and comprehensive manner.
- Establish trust and maintain an excellent rapport with RISQ / 2LOD SMEs through thoughtful and highly organized day-to-day coordination and engagement efforts.
- Provide effective challenge to RISQ / 2LOD SMEs as well as other stakeholders involved in the NPC process.
- Hold RISQ / 2LOD SMEs accountable to perform their NPC duties having laid out a clear framework and pre-agreed roles and responsibilities. Track and report RISQ / 2LOD SMEs performance against agreed deliverables and timelines.
- Engage with executive management to address instances where lack of accountability has the potential to compromise the efficiency or integrity of the NPC process.
- Identification and development of NPC tools and templates that can be utilized by the RISQ department to enhance the overall integrity and efficiency of the process.
- Contribution to the development and maintenance of NPC-related tools managed outside of the RISQ department.
- Execution of NPC-related controls on a periodic basis.
- Support transversal topics linked to new or living products such as Risk Assessment, Regulatory Exams, change-the-bank activities, systems design, and presentations of SGUS risk profile to Senior Management both in the US and at Head Office level.
- Work with all RISQ / 2LOD teams to improve the efficiency of risk monitoring and enhance the development and usage of risk analytics.
