**WHY THIS ROLE**:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Placemaking and Bayview Experience, the Audio-Visual Producer will develop and produce end-to-end dynamic, engaging and professional in-person and hybrid events at Bayview Yards that:

- Create an incredible experience for the founders, companies, and community we serve, and the internal and external clients that host meetings and events in our innovation hub
- Help these stakeholders from all walks of life achieve their goals
- Enable Invest Ottawa and Bayview Yards to achieve its economic development goals and impact

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**:
**Pre-Event**
- Meeting with internal and external clients to discuss and confirm event goals, audience, desired outcomes, and specifications including all AV elements and requirements, speakers and associated locations, and critical success factors for execution
- Developing a plan that outlines all specifications and approaches proposed to support the delivery of the event with internal and external clients hosting meetings and events at Bayview Yards, and acquiring written approval in advance of the event
- Setting up and configuring the end-to-end AV set-up required to execute the event; this includes, but is not limited to, microphones, lights, video monitors, projectors, speakers, teleprompters, and cameras
- Conducting sound, visual, and performance quality checks on AV equipment
- Facilitating dry runs with event leaders and speakers when required
- Ensuring quality standards are met and all team members are thoroughly briefed and prepared for their responsibilities during event
- Identifying and mitigating key risks to the event, the desired experience and impact
- Contributing expertise and recommendations to Invest Ottawa flagship events, including AccelerateOTT and CAV Canada

**Event Delivery and Production**
- Providing high quality event production and implementation, and operating sound and visual equipment during live, studio and hybrid events
- Executing event plans established and approved by the internal and/or external client according to the specifications established
- Identifying and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions to ensure events run smoothly; this includes resolving any issues that arise during live events in a timely and professional way
- Monitoring live feeds to ensure quality AV delivery and experience for all stakeholders participating onsite or virtually

**Post-Event**
- Briefing the Senior Manager of Placemaking and Bayview Yards Experience on the outcomes of the event, including any issues resolved and associated learnings
- Documenting key learnings to continually enhance event production
