**JOB SUMMARY**
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Territory Manager is responsible for executing sales strategies for existing and new businesses within Canada. They will manage NPI (New Product Introductions); plan regional customer visits, and local/national trade shows/ conferences. They develop customized eyewear programs to our client’s specifications based on needs analysis and will be responsible for supporting RFP preparation and response submission process for assigned clients. A strong emphasis will be placed on sales quotas and supporting business growth. Primary travel within Quebec, Atlantic provinces, and Eastern ON, with occasional travel to Western provinces.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLILITIES**
- Executes sales strategies, marketing plans and develops a proactive sales plan which create a competitive advantage that delivers long-term partnerships with profitable growth.
- Plan and schedule customer seminars and/or other sales support activities necessary to drive sales growth
- Plan and execute prescription safety eyewear presentations, demonstrations and meetings for Health & Safety, Human Resources & Purchasing professionals within the assigned region.
- Demonstrates problem-solving, and ability to conduct needs analysis on a customer-by-customer basis to ensure appropriate safety solutions are found and employed.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures within Hoya, our customer locations and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Maintain a high level of relevant optical product knowledge with a solid understanding of potential safety hazards within customer environments.
- Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers, prospects and SafeVision team members by being available and responsive to customers’ real-time needs.
- Ensure our high customer service standards are met or exceeded during every interaction.
- Collaborates with the Team, sharing best practices, providing support and ensuring key performance indicators are met; attends sales meetings and meets with Regional Sales Manager on a regular basis.
- Coordinates activities with national and regional business partners, reporting sales activity in a timely manner.
- Meet or exceed established sales quotas and support revenue and profit targets
- Other duties may be assigned
**COMPETENCIES**
- Strong knowledge of the industrial sales market & competency in legislative and regulatory Safety PPE requirements (Safety eye protection experience preferred)
- 3-5 years of Industrial Safety Sales Experience with a proven track record
- Excellent ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on tasks with outstanding oral/written communication skills
- Requires excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to maintain a rapport, and effectively build relationships with a diverse group of employees, managers, and outside parties. Continually striving for success and improved customer service
- Outstanding analytical abilities and strategic thinking with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Market expansion strategies, complex negotiations and sales cycles, strategic partnership building, key account management
- Requires a high degree of initiative, negotiation skills and time management in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Fluently bilingual (written and spoken), with excellent communication skills in French and English
- Ability to travel within the territory (valid driver's license, and reliable vehicle required)
- Demonstrate a friendly and professional image at all times.
- Knowledge of the selling process
- Demonstrate team playing attitude
- Post-secondary education in business and/or marketing is preferred.
**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- College graduate is the minimum education requirement
- Optical background considered an asset
- Bilingual (English and French) a must, both oral and written
