**Your contribution**
Reporting to the Director - Tax, you will support the tax specialists involved in investment projects or corporate reorganizations (hereafter M&A) of the Innergex Group. You will also be responsible for supporting the tax team in its work and will make an important contribution to the mission and objectives of the Innergex tax group.
**Who are we looking for?**
**Your day-to-day**
- Support other team members in the analysis and review of tax elements in M&A transactions;
- Perform certain tax research and document tax positions taken for the group;
- Participate in the drafting and presentation of due diligence reports in connection with M&A projects;
- Coordinate and review certain aspects of mandates entrusted to external consultants;
- Collaborate in the development, implementation, documentation and updating of transfer pricing policies;
- Participate in the process of preparing and reviewing tax returns to properly reflect M&A transactions;
- Participate in the tax provisioning process for entities involved in M&A transactions, including communicating the tax impacts of transactions;
- Support the audit process for entities involved in M&A transactions;
- Participate in the update of long-term tax financial projections by integrating the tax consequences of M&A transactions;
- Prepare certain calculations of amounts to be paid for M&A transactions (withholding taxes, etc.) and ensure that payments are made within the prescribed deadlines;
- Prepare, review or update certain forms, calculations of various accounts and tax elections (surplus, adjusted cost base, paid-up capital, etc.);
- Prepare or revise certain tax slips, if necessary;
- Propose solutions for continuous improvement of processes and tools useful to the tax group or the company;
- Participate with other team members in the development of tools or presentations to communicate and popularize strategic tax concepts to internal teams (accounting, finance, treasury, etc.) or the management team;
**Your skills, our requirements**
- Undergraduate education: accounting and recognized accounting designation (CPA), law or finance
- Completed or pending graduate training in taxation, an asset
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of taxation in a company or in a large accounting or law firm, an asset
- Experience with the use of consolidation software (One Stream) and the impact for the tax team on the preparation of tax provision and returns, an asset
- Knowledge of international taxation, an asset
- Knowledge of tax planning and optimization, an asset
- Bilingual (French and English), both oral and written; Spanish an asset

**Additional considerations**
- The position is based at the company’s head office located in Longueuil, steps away from the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station.
- This position is a P2 level.
