Reporting to the Sr. Director of Finance / Controller, the Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and complying with accounting standards. This role also involves managing financial statements, budgets, audits, and internal controls. The Accounting Manager also provides financial insights to support business decisions and improve financial performance.

The position is for a Full Time Permanent Position -- Monday to Friday, Hours: 8:30 - 5:00. We offer a hybrid schedule with 2 - 3 days a week on-site and 2 - 3 days a week remote.

- **Primary Duties and Responsibilities**_
- Supervise accounting staff and provide training and mentorship to improve their performance.
- Ensure financial reports to senior management and stakeholders with clarity and actionable insights.
- Oversee financial records and ensure their accuracy, adequacy, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies to improve margins.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted figures, highlighting key performance drivers.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance to senior management.
- Manage, review, and approve account reconciliations ensuring that they substantiate the respective account balances.
- Prepare key balance sheet account reconciliations, including, but not limited to, Inventory, Deferred Revenue, Leased Assets and Obligations
- Coordinate inventory cycle counts and the annual physical inventory
- Assist in the preparation of monthly forecasts and the annual budget.
- Banking and cash management
- Ensure that financial procedures comply with relevant regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.
- Lead the records management program for the company.
- prepare presentations and reports for executive leadership.
- **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**_
- CPA designation.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting.
- 5+ years of experience in finance/accounting area, preferably within a manufacturing, and / or wholesale distribution
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, cost accounting, supply chain management, sales taxes, customs compliance, banking systems and protocol, foreign currency accounting.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems (Oracle / AS400), and Microsoft Excel (advanced level)
- People management skills
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Critical and analytical thinking, ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and meticulous.

Pay: $102,500.00-$115,750.00 per year
