A major food manufacturing company in South Etobicoke seeking a Regulatory Associate to to oversee the Supplier Monitoring Program, Contractor Monitoring Program, Chemical Monitoring Program and Food Defense Program. To assist with any projects occurring throughout the day as determined by the Regulatory Specialist and Corporate Regulatory and Quality Manager

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**

Main Duties:
Will be the main point of contact for the Supplier Monitoring Program. Will monitor and update the supplier documentation as required to ensure it remains current for auditing, food safety and quality purposes.

Will be the main contact for dealing with the supplier complaints, the corrective actions that are required and the follow up that is needed to ensure that the facility remains in compliance.

Will be the main point of contact for the Contractor Monitoring Program. Will monitor and update the contractor documentation as required to ensure it remains current for auditing, food safety and quality purposes.

Will be the main point of contact for the Chemical Monitoring Program. Will monitor and update the chemical documentation as required to ensure it remains current for auditing, food safety and quality purposes.

Will act as the Food Defense Coordinator and oversee the Food Defense Program

Conduct Monthly and Quarterly Premises Inspections as required

Monitoring Duties (as required):
Provide coverage for the Regulatory/Quality department for holidays

Act as a support for all departments to ensure the implementation of HACCP and all Food Safety or Quality related initiatives

Assist to ensure that GMP and Personal Hygiene policies are always adhered to

Ensure that the plant is meeting all regulatory and internal standards

Assist to ensure that a safe working environment is maintained

Participate, when needed, in third party audits from customers and government agencies. To act as a contact for the Suppliers. To deal with colleagues, auditors, supplier, and government inspectors in a courteous and professional manner.

Assist in the preparation and analysis of data for monthly reports addressing regulatory issues. Follow-up and correct problems noted during inspections and audits.

To inspect and approve new incoming materials, packaging and ingredients when required

Ability to work in fast paced, task oriented environment and work closely with all departments.

Ambient, cooler and Freezer

Ability to left 20kg

College diploma in Food Technology or related discipline plus 5 years of food industry experience in a quality or regulatory environment (a combination of education and work experience will also be considered)

Ability to have communication skills in the English language, including written and verbal

Comfortable with HACCP

Comfortable with GMP, GLP

Comfortable with WHMIS

Comfort with computers required: Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel

Previous Food Manufacturing experience

Strong written and oral skills

Ability to work independently and apart of a team

5 years food industry experience

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
