Conference and Banqueting Assistant Manager

**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and help manage all aspects of conferences, banquets, and special events from initial set up to post-event tear down and follow up.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, offer tailored solutions, and upsell additional services or amenities.
- Oversee and execute event setup ad tear down, ensuring all arrangements meet quality standards and client specifications.
- Lead and supervise staff involved in event execution, including serving staff.
- Help with AV equipment set up
- Assist with bar service, replenishment and tear down
- Maintain effective communication with departments such as catering, housekeeping and security to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage budgets for events, monitor expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
- Develop marketing strategies to promote event spaces and attract new clients.
- Maintain high service standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all event activities.
- Address guest inquiries promptly and professionally to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Assist the Catering Manager with any other duties they may need help with.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in hospitality, preferably within hotels or restaurants with banquet or event services.
- Strong background in guest services, upselling and customer service.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Budgeting experience to control costs and maximize profitability of events.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices in event execution.
- Previous experience in restaurant in a hotel environments is a necessity. Experience in catering department with various set up is also mandatory.
- A proactive approach with strong leadership qualities to motivate staff and deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Pay: $45,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
