Summerhill Market is looking for a **Bakery Production Packaging Team Lead** to join the Bakery Production team at our **Rosedale** location.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring bakery goods are prepared and packaged to be sold at the retail locations, as per business needs. Assisting in receiving, storing, production and stocking of products while ensuring proper product rotation and quality
- Performing quality checks to ensure food quality are up to standards as the last point of contact in production
- Ensuring packaging volume and accuracy
- Acting as a liaison between various Bakery Production departments to share production knowledge, strive for continuous improvement and provide feedback
- Maintaining production cleanliness
- Being a team player and helping your team members across the Bakery Production as needed
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention

**Skillset Requirements**:

- Passion for food - you are a true foodie at heart
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience, leading a packaging/production team, preferably in a food processing/bakery production area handling food
- Being an effective and positive communicator - having great listening skills, patience, the ability to lead a team and knowing how to de-escalate challenging situations
- Previous grocery or food industry experience along with a Food Safety Handlers Certification is an asset
- Excellent communication skills (verbally and written) with a customer focused mindset and the ability to receive direction well
- Collaborative with the ability to work in a dynamic team to create solutions in support of store operations
- Able to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less
- Flexible availability to work morning, evening, and weekend shifts with the ability to accommodate various shift coverage on short notice
- Maintaining Health and Safety Standards as defined under the Health and Safety Act
- Comfortable working in a cooler environment, entering coolers/freezers as needed and doing hot work, working with a variety of production ovens
- Tech savvy with the ability to learn our ERP, inventory ordering system
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
