**The Opportunity**:
Active Warehousing, part of the MTE Logistix Group of Companies is looking for **MATERIAL TECHNICIAN / FORKLIFT OPERATOR** to join our team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is part of the team responsible for accurate order fulfilment and effective and efficient warehouse operations.

**What will you do?**
- Operate warehouse material handling equipment
- Work from an order sheet to build loads for transport
- Exhibit strict attention to detail and maintain order accuracy
- Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner
- Ensure all paperwork is completed to standard
- Confirm pallets/loads are built correctly
- Able to work in ambient and refrigerated work environments
- Maintain cleanliness in the work area

**What you need to succeed**
- **Must-have**_
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ warehouse experience including cross docking, order picking and stacking products
- 2-3 years’ experience with **power jack, forklift, and reach forklift**:

- Strong and proven experience with the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel
- Strong and demonstrated safety commitment, time-management, verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented, and organized
- Must be physically fit, be able to stand for long periods, and be comfortable with repetitive lifting.
- **Nice to have**:_
- Third Party Logistics (3PL) experience
- Oil and gas and/or lumber warehouse experience

The starting wage is **$24.00 - $26.00 per hour**. This opportunity includes a full benefit package after successful completion of the probationary period.

**Position location**:

- **11280 - 189th Street, Edmonton A7 warehouse. Hours of work are 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday thru Friday. Overtime, statutory holiday, and weekends may be required.**
