**What we are looking for**:
This role is for an accomplished regulated healthcare provider with expertise in health informatics and clinical practice. Working out of the Markham Site you will provide coverage to both the Markham and Uxbridge Sites. You will interact with professional practice, clinical staff, information technology, quality improvement, decision support and health information management; ensuring that information is available to, and appropriately used by, clinicians, managers and directors to enhance clinical care and patient health outcomes. You will champion clinical informatics with clinical staff and physicians to further develop our knowledge driven environment. In collaboration with the Information Technology and Professional Practice teams, you will actively participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical informatics projects, including the Advanced Clinical Phases of Meditech Expanse to improve clinical processes and outcomes.

**What you bring to the role**:

- A health discipline degree with current registration in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act required
- 3 to 5 years hospital-based clinical experience required
- 2 years recent experience in clinical informatics preferred
- Proven proficient computer skills and working experience with computerized patient care systems, ideally MEDITECH Expanse clinical software
- Experience with implementing and evaluating systems for electronic documentation that support interdisciplinary healthcare team activities
- Demonstrated analytical, consultative and critical-thinking skills in a quality-focused and team-driven environment with a working knowledge of quality improvements principles
- Ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal, team oriented, collaborative, and facilitation skills
- Collaboratively liaises with clinical staff and physicians, management, IT professionals, Finance, Decision Support, and Health Information Management staff
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and collaborates with others to enhance orientation and training related to clinical documentation and data utility.
- Provides guidance and support to clinical users of electronic systems to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the systems within patient care
- Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
- Demonstrated a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required

**Work Schedule**:

- Monday - Friday 0800 - 1600_ with on-call rotations off-hours and weekends. _Schedules may change due to operational needs._

**Compensation**:
BAND G - $42.84 - $52.61 per hour
