Windsor, Canada Hiatus House Full time

Hiatus House, provides shelter and outreach services for women experiencing gender based violence and their children. We are seeking two (2) Service Navigators to work in locations across the Windsor-Essex area to coordinate client care with project partners.

This position is responsible to ensure seamless referrals that minimizes re-traumatization, duplication, and unnecessary delays. Those hired in the role will use an intersectional approach in providing access to a full continuum of care. This will benefit rural, racialized, immigrant, refugee and gender-diverse people who have experienced gender-based violence. As part of the role, they will develop policies and provide training and supports for partner agencies.

**Qualifications**
- Requires B.S.W. or equivalent degree, R.S.W. preferred.
- Experience working in the area of gender-based violence and the use of evidence-based approaches.
- Knowledge of community resources and comfort creating connections across Windsor-Essex.
- Ability to communicate professionally in written and oral French, or proficiency in other languages is preferred.
- Must complete a vulnerable sector check and have a valid First Aid/CPR certification.
- Must have Ontario Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

**Major Duties**:

- Help to develop the project materials and procedures.
- Work with a team to develop and deliver risk and safety planning training to service providers throughout Windsor-Essex.
- Provide service navigation and supportive counselling to people experiencing GBV in collaboration with partners.
- Participate in meetings to support the clients and the project, including collaborative high risk planning.
- Participate in a trial project for the support and intervention of low-risk abusive persons.
- Collect and report data and information as required for reporting and evaluation of the project.
- Provide all services that responsive to the diversity of needs and are safe for each person.

This position will work 35 hours weekly, with some flexibility in the schedule.

Salary for this position will begin at $24.77 hourly.
