Rosso Coffee Roasters is an internationally acclaimed specialty coffee company founded in Calgary in 2007, with 5 cafe locations, wholesale, e-commerce, and roasting operations serving customers in Canada, the United States, and over 20 countries worldwide. We are the proud official roaster of the 2023 and 2024 World Barista Champions, ATB’s Small Business of the Year, and a recognized industry leader in quality control and innovation.

We are seeking a visionary **Chief Executive Officer** to lead this next phase of growth.
**Role Overview**
The CEO will serve as the strategic and operational leader of Rosso Coffee Roasters, responsible for driving sustainable growth, profitability, and brand influence across all markets. This individual will be accountable for executing the company’s 2030 vision, expanding U.S. operations, deepening international wholesale partnerships, growing direct-to-consumer channels, and ensuring Rosso’s culture of excellence is preserved as we scale.
The CEO will be a dynamic leader with proven success in building organizations through critical growth phases, balancing strategic vision with executional rigor.
**Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Growth & Vision**
- Lead the company’s strategic plan to double revenue by 2030.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities in retail, wholesale, e-commerce, and international markets.
- Expand and optimize operations in the U.S. market, beginning with the Houston hub.
- Build and execute a sustainable expansion roadmap, balancing profitability and brand integrity.
**Leadership & Culture**
- Inspire, mentor, and develop the executive team to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Foster a high-performance, accountable, and values-driven culture across all levels.
- Act as Rosso’s brand ambassador, representing the company in the specialty coffee community and broader business ecosystem.
**Financial & Operational Excellence**
- Oversee all financial performance, ensuring consistent revenue growth and profitability.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to track progress toward strategic goals.
- Optimize operational systems, supply chain, and infrastructure to support scale.
**Sales, Marketing & Brand Development**
- Partner with the marketing and sales teams to drive customer acquisition and retention.
- Strengthen Rosso’s brand presence in Canada, the U.S., and global markets.
- Lead strategic partnerships and collaborations to increase brand awareness and reach.
**Innovation & Customer Experience**
- Ensure Rosso continues to lead in product quality, sustainability, and innovation.
- Champion customer experience across all channels — cafes, wholesale, and online.
- Stay ahead of coffee industry trends, ensuring Rosso’s competitive advantage.
- 10+ years of executive leadership, ideally within specialty food & beverage, retail, or consumer packaged goods.
- Proven track record of scaling a business through a significant growth phase
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L responsibility and growth planning.
- Experience with multi-market expansion (U.S. market experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated success in leading teams of 100+ employees across retail and operational environments.
