JK Environmental Services Inc. has immediate opening for experienced, ticketed, knowledgeable, motivated and career-minded Demolition Technician.
**Who We Are**
JK Environmental Services provides clients with peace of mind through the delivery of hazardous materials management and removal, and a range of other specialist environmental support services.
**Position Overview**
Demolition Technician will be required to will be required to assist Supervisors on jobsites performing demolition. Other duties as required.
**Responsibilities**
- Demo items following health and safety guidelines.
- Assembles scaffolding and hoarding to seal off work area as needed.
- Clean and prepare site to eliminate possible hazards
- Use necessary hand tools for demolition
- Load/unload demo materials and equipment as needed
**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers’ License and good driving record
- Valid OH&S Asbestos Removal Certification an asset
- Experience in the demolition, construction or asbestos removal industry preferred.
- Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting.
- Able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Must pass security background check

- Asbestos Removal Certificate
- Fall Protection
- Elevated Work Platform
- Confined Space
- Standard First Aid/CPR
- CSTS
- OSSA H2S
